|An exciting new development: The Inver Hotel re-opens shortly as Inver Lodge.
After many years as a popular hotel in the Eastern Highlands of Scotland, the Inver Hotel is being refurbished during October and November, opening again on 30 November 2013 as Inver Lodge.
Instead of being a conventional hotel, Inver Lodge will be offered in its entitity to groups - the perfect Scottish base for your Highland Gathering, be it a family affair, a holiday with friends, a reunion, or perhaps a business conference away from the bustle of the city.
Nestling in the spectacular Dee valley at Crathie - a stone's throw from one of the best salmon rivers in Scotland - Inver Lodge was built as a coaching inn in 1760 and sits in a beautiful tract of the Eastern Highlands, two miles from Balmoral Castle, summer residence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The surrounding landscape is ideal for all manner of country pursuits including walking, mountain biking, photography, shooting and fishing (by arrangement).

Inver Lodge: The perfect venue for your Highland Gathering
Everything that made the Inver Hotel special will still be there at Inver Lodge, but now there will be nine en-suite bedrooms sleeping 16 (with extra beds available). Downstairs there will be a relaxed, open plan drawing room with a cosy log fire and a Steinway Grand piano, together with a large dining area.
The feeling of family informality will be enhanced by a kitchen with large breakfast table and a games room with television. There will also be a gun room with gun cabinet and a drying room. WiFi will be available too.
Inver Lodge is being designed with self catering in mind so that guests can plan their own stay, but accomplished chef Chris Snell is happy to cook for parties by arrangement.
